Transport

The Transport domain covers the conditions that move across the transport surface and the hazards that ride on it: wind over the resort, the emissions and noise the network throws off, the points where pedestrian and vehicle movements cross, and the flood and storm surge that arrive from the water. Each persona below runs the sims relevant to its remit, read against its own goal.

The scope label in the tool reads Shura Island as a placeholder and is not load-bearing in these descriptions.

Wind

How wind moves across the resort and the water, read by each persona that runs it.

Guest Experience Manager

The guest experience manager's goal with wind is to keep the outdoor spaces guests came for genuinely usable, so a breeze that refreshes one spot does not accelerate around a corner into something that empties a deck. The aim is comfort that holds wherever guests gather, not just where the wind happens to be kind.

The twin reveals the local effect before guests find it. It plays a wind setting forward across the resort, reading where airflow stays comfortable and where it funnels and accelerates between the buildings. The value is the chance to soften the worst of it through layout, planting, or routing, so an exposed corner is designed out rather than left to quietly empty whenever the wind turns.

Emissions and noise

How emissions and noise carry across the site from their sources, read by each persona that runs it.

Guest Experience Manager

The manager's goal here is to protect the quiet, clean character of the destination, to make sure a path that runs alongside a busy road or a garden that should feel secluded actually delivers on the promise. The target is an experience where the background texture of the place matches its premium positioning.

The twin puts the discrete sources and the continuous spread together. It plays the dispersion forward from the roads, service areas, and plant that produce it, showing how emission and noise carry across guest areas and which sources drive the worst of it. The value is seeing where the quiet is genuinely protected and where it only appears to be, so routing and screening target the real sources rather than the assumed ones.

Environment Manager

The environment manager's goal is to keep the wider footprint clean and quiet where it is supposed to be, reading the load as a site condition rather than just a guest's experience of one path. The target is protection of the areas the destination's positioning depends on.

The twin shows where the load truly sits. It plays the dispersion forward across the site, reading where it gathers and where it dissipates. The value is targeting the genuine sources and protecting the areas meant to stay low, rather than treating the whole site as uniformly affected and spreading effort thin.

Safety conflicts

Where pedestrian and vehicle movements cross and clash, read by each persona that runs it.

Guest Experience Manager

The manager's goal with safety conflicts is a destination where guests and vehicles share the site without the few dangerous overlaps that ordinary planning tends to miss. The aim is to remove risk at the specific points it actually exists, not to blanket the whole site in caution.

The twin pinpoints exactly those points. It identifies where guest and vehicle paths cross and grades them by how often and how sharply they clash, marking the handful of locations that genuinely warrant attention. The value is precision: crossings, signage, or separation go where the real conflict is, which is both safer and far more efficient than treating every junction as equally risky.

Operations Manager

Read from the operations side, the goal with conflict points is day-to-day management: knowing which crossings flare up under load and warrant staffing or temporary control, and which can be left alone. The aim is to spend attention where the risk actually concentrates.

The twin turns a diffuse worry into a ranked list. It surfaces the conflict locations and grades them, so the team can see which crossings need staffing, signage, or temporary control during a busy period. The value is focus: a short, prioritised set of places to watch, instead of a vague sense that the whole site needs eyes on it.

Flood and storm surge

How storm, tide, and rainfall drive water onto the land and the marina, read by each persona that runs it.

Operations Manager

For the operations manager, the goal in a surge is to protect critical facilities and assets, and the whole game is lead time: the water arrives on its own schedule, and what needs moving takes time to move. Success is a response staged before the water is at the door.

The twin manufactures that lead time. It plays a storm, tide, and rainfall scenario forward to show how far the surge reaches, how deep it gets at the facilities that matter, and how the evacuation timing stacks up against it. The value is a window to secure and clear before the surge lands, turning a flood from a damaging event into a managed one.

Environment Manager

The environment manager's goal in a surge is to protect the habitats in its path, the sensitive ground that floods, the sediment that shifts, and the recovery that follows. The aim is to know the environmental cost ahead of the event, not catalogue it afterward.

The twin gives that foresight. It plays the surge forward to show where water reaches the habitats, how levels and sediment move, and which ecosystems carry the impact. The value is the ability to plan protection and post-event recovery around the areas that genuinely bear the load, so the environmental commitment is defended deliberately rather than salvaged after the fact.

Marine Operations Manager

The marine operations manager's goal in a surge is to protect vessels and the marina, getting craft secured or relocated and barriers raised before the peak puts moored and small boats at risk. The aim is a marine response made with time in hand, not against the surge already in the basin.

The twin provides that time. It plays a storm, tide, and rainfall scenario forward to the marina, reading how high the surge climbs at the berths, how fast water moves through them, and how soon it arrives. The value is the window to secure or move craft and raise barriers while it still helps, turning a surge from a threat to the fleet into a manageable event.
