Simulation

People

The People domain covers the simulations that read the island through the people on it: how they gather, how they clear a building under pressure, how heat sits on the ground around them, and how easily they can reach where they are going. Each persona below runs the sims relevant to its remit, and because the same scenario serves a different goal for a different operator, each read is documented on its own.

The scope label in the tool reads Shura Island as a placeholder and is not load-bearing in these descriptions.

Crowd

How people gather and how dense a space becomes under load, read by each persona that runs it.

Guest Experience Manager

The guest experience manager's goal in a crowding scenario is to keep every space on the right side of comfortable, to protect the feeling of an unhurried, premium destination even when a show lets out or two arrival waves land at once. Success here is not measured in throughput; it is measured in guests never noticing the pressure that was building around them.

This is where the twin earns its place. By playing a footfall scenario forward against the density at which a space stops being comfortable, it turns a manager's instinct that the plaza is filling into a forecast they can act on while it still matters. The value is the decision window: instead of responding to a crush that has already formed, the manager meters flow, reroutes foot traffic, or holds a release ahead of it, and the crowd problem is resolved before a single guest feels it.

Operations Manager

The operations manager's goal in the same crowding scenario is entirely about capacity: making sure the gates and the people working them can keep up, so a busy period never becomes a backed-up entrance. The measure of success is a site that keeps moving people through, no matter how the demand stacks.

The twin lets the team see the chokepoint before it forms. It plays the same footfall scenario forward against the capacity of the gates and the staffing behind them, showing which entrances tip first and how much extra resourcing the peak will demand. That foresight is the value: the team positions people and opens lanes ahead of the surge, instead of scrambling once an entrance is already gridlocked.

Evacuation

How an occupied space clears under pressure, and where the flow stalls, read by each persona that runs it.

Guest Experience Manager

In an evacuation scenario the guest experience manager's goal is confidence that the guest-facing spaces can clear cleanly, that there is no single stairwell or doorway quietly holding back an otherwise orderly exit. The aim is to know the weak point before a drill or an incident reveals it the hard way.

The twin delivers that certainty without waiting for an event. It plays the evacuation forward through the occupied spaces, following how people route to the nearest safe exit and exactly where they bunch up, and surfaces the bottleneck as a clear, located finding rather than a hunch. That lets the team design signage, capacity, and guidance around the spot that genuinely matters, turning life-safety planning from an assumption into something demonstrably tested.

Operations Manager

For operations, the goal in an evacuation is a clearance that comes in inside the margin the site is meant to hold, with full visibility of where the flow stalls and which exit is doing more work than it should. The aim is to know the building's true clearing behaviour, not the one the plan assumes.

The twin proves it before an incident does. It plays the clearance forward across the structure, reporting where flow concentrates and how the total time builds, and names the binding constraint outright. The team can then act on the specific exit or route that drives the number, which turns compliance from a paper exercise into a tested, defensible result.

Guest Experience Manager

For thermal comfort, the manager's goal is to make sure the parts of the day guests remember are the good ones, not the stretch of walkway that turned uncomfortable at midday. The intent is to stay ahead of the heat rather than learn about it from the first guest standing in it.

The twin makes that foresight possible. It plays the felt heat forward across the site using where shade actually falls, not where it is meant to, and shows the comfortable footprint shrinking as the sun climbs. The manager gains the lead time to add shade, adjust a route, or shift an activity's timing before the exposed stretch becomes a complaint, which is the difference between managing comfort and apologising for its absence.

Environment Manager

The environment manager's goal is a site that performs, where the shading and surface choices already in place genuinely keep the footprint within a comfortable range as conditions push. Success is measured across the whole site, not one guest's experience of it.

The twin gives that site-wide verdict. It plays the heat forward across the entire footprint and reads where exposure concentrates, how much ground stays shaded, and how far passive cooling carries before it runs out. The value is targeting: canopy, planting, and surface decisions can be aimed at the stretches that genuinely fail rather than the ones that merely look hot, so every intervention is spent where it changes the outcome.

Accessibility

How easily guests can reach the places they are headed for, read by each persona that runs it.

Guest Experience Manager

The manager's goal in an accessibility scenario is a destination that is effortless to move through for everyone, where no key amenity sits just far enough or just awkwardly enough to quietly strain a guest. The target is to design reach in deliberately rather than discover the gaps by chance.

The twin exposes what is otherwise invisible to anyone who finds the place easy. It reads the site by walking effort, mapping how reachable the amenities are from where guests actually are and surfacing the corners that fall beyond comfortable range. A vague sense that the far end feels cut off becomes a clear map of which routes and destinations carry the cost, so accessibility becomes a designed outcome the team can prove, not an assumption they hope holds.

Marine Operations has no People simulations. There is no off-the-shelf tool to simulate people in the water environment at resort scale, so the marine water simulations cover vessels only.
